How do we get started?
With a telephone call, email, or contact us using our web-based form. We'll get in contact with you to discuss your desires and ideas. It's that simple.
How long does it take from beginning to end?
Unfortunately, there is no common time frame since there are numerous factors that must be considered before a project schedule can be developed. For example, the size and complexity of the building, the difficulty of the terrain, even the building decision making process, all can have a direct effect on the length of a project.
As part of the services offered at Lawrence Cook Associates, after careful site and needs analysis, design, bid and approvals, we will develop a project schedule that will provide the timeline for the project.
Will you work closely with the building committees and project leadership?
Yes! Working with the building committee, project leadership and/or membership is not just a requirement, it is critical to the success of the building/renovation project. Without a close working relationship, the project would inevitably fail, or at best, only partially meet the needs and desires of the project leaders and members.
We just want to renovate. Can you help us with that?
Yes! At Lawrence Cook Associates, we provide specialized services for all phases and types of religious, commercial, school and residential architecture, whether you are building new or renovating and/or restoring old. Please contact us to discuss how we might help in your renovation project.
Do you provide any help with developing our long term vision and plan?
Yes! The importance of a good master plan is critical to the future of your church, school or commercial project. More than 50% of building projects planning or needing to build or renovate fail to properly address the master site planning for future phases.
The process of developing a good master plan is quite intricate and involves proper site analysis, space-needs analysis, orientation options, main focal points, building access, traffic/people flow, expansion (project phasing), and the critical importance of the relationships between each component. As experienced architects, we are very sensitive to the importance of these things and how they relate to your particular site.
A good master plan should address your plans and strategies for the next 10 - 20 years.
Do you have a list of references?
Yes. Lawrence Cook Associates has a large list of references for the desired discipline: religious; commercial; residential; and schools. We would be happy to provide references upon request.
