Covenant House, Washington, DC - website

Covenant House Washington purchased a 3 story reinforced concrete structure which is located at the intersection of New York Avenue and North Capitol Street adjacent to high rise public housing projects. The third floor was renovated as offices, the 2nd floor will be renovated as a job training center when funds are available and the first floor was renovated as a Teen Outreach Center.
The first floor contains a gathering space for teenagers, after school and weekend program, a computer center, for during research papers and job search; an intake and interview area, and a large conference room which seats up to 80 persons.

Ukiah Medical Center, Ukiah, California - website

Lawrence Cook Associates has designed medical buildings throughout the country while working with FEDCO, a national firm, building health care centers.
The Ukiah Medical Center, located 150 miles north of San Francisco, consists of four buildings surrounding a central courtyard. This large complex covers a city block and provides offices for fifteen doctors.

Magassy Surgical Suite, McLean, Virginia - website

A pleasant club-like atmosphere was created to offer surgery patients a sense of comfort. Privacy is provided to the patients by dividing the waiting area into three alcoves enclosed by wood grills against tinted glass. Vaulted wood ceilings give a warm feeling and sense of direction.

Meadowlark Arboretum 100 Acre Master Plan, Vienna, Virginia - website

Lawrence Cook Associates was selected from twenty-five firms to serve on a three firm team of design consultants which included EDAW Inc., landscape architects, and Gordon Associates, civil engineers. Over a five year period, we provided design services, layout and administered construction of this 100 acre arboretum.

Maintenance Barn at Meadowlark Arboretum, Vienna, Virginia - website

Lawrence Cook Associates persuaded the Park Authority to rebuild the sagging, old, barn and add to it, rather than tear down the barn and erect a prefabricated metal building. This preserved the original farm character while saving money. The maintenance barn was the first of several buildings to be constructed at the Arboretum and is the central facility from which the groundskeeping staff operates.
